General Information

What is KLIS Primary and where is it located?

KLIS Primary is an International Primary School located in Jl. Pintu III Sirkuit, Sentul. Our location is about 1km from Sentul International Circuit.

What is the school operating hours?

KLIS Primary is opened on Monday – Friday from 7.00 – 16.00. We are closed on weekends and public holidays.

What is maximum number of students per class?

Our classes have the capacity of a maximum of 20 students per class. If the number of students reached more than 20, then the grade will be split into 2 parallel classes.

Does KLIS Primary accommodate special needs students?

We will have to access the student and their abilities first. If we don’t have the ability to handle the students correctly, we will refer the student to our special needs center to get therapy first.

School Facilities

What facilities does KLIS have?

We have complete and modern facilities to make our student’s learning experience more comfortable.

How many cleaning staff does the school have? And what is the cleaning procedure?

We have a total of 4 cleaning staffs and 1 gardener. Our cleaning staffs and gardener follows strict hygiene and safety rules and regulations. They are monitored daily, and accessed and trained monthly.

How of is the school swimming pool cleaned up?

The school pool is cleaned daily by our staffs, and maintained twice per week by a professional pool maintenance team. Chlorine level are checked daily to ensure it is always safe to be used by children.

School Security

How is the security system in KLIS Primary?

The school security staff are trained to implement a high standard of safety. They will ensure the school grounds are safe and secure at all times.

What is the drop off and pick system for students in the school

To promote safety, parents/caregivers/drivers must follow the rules and regulations of drop off and pick up. Drop off is done in the main entrance of KLIS Primary, all guests (including parents) are not allowed to enter the school, including sending their child to class, unless they make an appointment beforehand.

As for pick up, parents/caregiver/driver MUST be able to produce a pick up card at ALL TIMES (which we will give 2 cards per student. This card will be updated periodically). Students are not allowed to leave without their parents/caregivers/driver not being able to produce pick up card.

What is the policy for guests at KLIS Primary??

The school is no parents / guests zone. ALL parents and guests must make an appointment beforehand with a school member.

Does KLIS Primary install CCTV in the school area?

Yes, KLIS Primary has a very comprehensive CCTV system which covers every classroom and areas inside and outside of the school. The CCTV is monitored by the school director, school principal, and security.

During non-working hours, school admin still have access to CCTV through school mobile phone.

What is the policy during break time in KLIS Primary?

All students are only allowed in these areas during breaktime; canteen, musholla, playground, and basketball court. There will teachers on duty covering these areas.

Does KLIS have a kindergarten, middle, and senior school?

Unfortunately at this current moment we only operate primary school, but in the future we will have a kindergarten, middle, and senior school. So please do keep updated with us through our website and social media accounts for the latest update.

What are the languages used in KLIS?

The languages used during classes and around the school is English. In some classes, such as Bahasa Indonesia and PPKN students will be taught in Bahasa Indonesia, we also start practicing using Arabic in school as well. Because we live in Indonesia and most students uses Bahasa Indonesia at home, we strongly advise students to speak in English at all times in school.

What are the qualifications of the teachers at KLIS Primary?

All teachers at KLIS Primary are certified with at least a Bachelor degree from a reputable university. They also previously have taught in schools of similar setting. Besides their educational background and previous work experiences, we also continuously provide teachers with professional development program in school and outside of school.

What is the special program that KLIS Primary have?

We have a unique program in the House of Al-Quran program that is Junior Al-Hafeez. This program allows students to complete their tahfidz program for more than 2 juz.

Enrollment

My child is from a local school with limited knowledge of English. Will my child be accepted into KLIS Primary?

Every student will sit a placement test before given an offer letter into KLIS. We will review the student’s English, Maths, and Quran reading and reciting knowledge prior to accepting the student into our school. Thus, we cannot judge by just information that the student has limited knowledge of English.
